Baby I Love Your Way ~ Peter Frampton STMUSS

Howdy kids! It's time for Songs That Make Us Sing Saturday!

If you're a regular STMUSS partier, you may have noticed by now that I have a tendency to post "then and now" videos. Quite a bit. It's mainly because, well... I'm old.

Let me just start by saying that I have had a huge crush on this week's featured artist.  Peter Frampton was a rock-god back in the 70's and thanks to growing up so close to an amazing concert venue (Saratoga Performing Arts Center, aka SPAC), I saw him perform live many times. I owned all of his albums (for those of you under 30, those are like CD's, except bigger, with a little hole in the center that you put on this ancient contraption called a turntable and... oh he!!, just google it, OK?) and had posters of him plastered all over my bedroom walls. *sigh*

Anywhoooo, after seeing the second clip, it's pretty obvious that my crush hasn't lost any of his talent or charm over the years. He has lost quite a bit of his hair, but at my age, that's not exactly a deal breaker.

Head on over to Ginger or Becca's blogs and join the par-tay!

  1. Very pretty songs! I'd never heard of him before and I'm not THAT young! It's interesting getting to hear others' style of songs--I think it's a little peek into their personality and heart! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Alright Ang! Really? How old are you that you've never heard of Frampton before?

I'm alright with admitting that I'm over 30 (I'm only 37 or 38, I can't remember)and I remember records (and players). I also remember when I saw/heard a CD for the first time. (It wasn't Frampton it was Billy Joel but wouldn't that have been a great segway?)

Anywho, I love Peter Frampton! Great songs!

  3. Found you through the new linky followers blog hop. I'm so happy to be your newest follower, it would be great if you follow me back. :)

  4. Hi I am now following you and found you on the linky follower hop! I invite you to follow me over at Hibiscus House, I would love to have you. I can tell I am going to enjoy your posts. I love this and love Peter Frampton too. I saw him today on the news glad he found his guitar.
